From his studio in Cornwall, Richard designs and makes a range of 2 and 3 dimensional ceramic boats. All of the pieces are made using a combination of hand building annd press moulding techniques and fired by the Raku process. The unpredictable colours and textures achieved by raku reflect the surfaces found on the rusty old boat hulls from which he takes his inspiration. |
